Die by the Blade isn’t a new game announcement. In fact, developers Toko Midori and Triple Hill first revealed Die by the Blade as far back as September 2019, with plans to launch in January 2020. Obviously, a lot must have happened in the time since, but today is different. Today, the development teams revealed that Die by the Blade has partnered with a new publishing partner. The Dalish elves of Dragon Age all get facial tattoos called Vallaslin once they become adults at 18-years of age or older. It is also called “blood writing” among the clans. The ink used to tattoo Dalish faces is considered sacred and the act of tattooing Vallaslin is thought of as a ritual. Different designs symbolize different Dalish deities. The games do not reveal what tattoos symbolize which deities, but Dragon Age concept artist Matt Rhodes shared Inquisition’s tattoo designs and what deity each one relates to on his Tumblr account in 2015....

From Software has a well-earned reputation for punishing their players, but let it not be said that they don’t have at least a shred of mercy. Case in point, while FS didn’t include it in their patch notes (they have to protect their sadistic rep) the most recent Elden Ring update actually dials down the challenge of some of the game’s many bosses. Specifically, it seems boss battles that task you with facing multiple enemies have been toned down, with players now less likely to be mobbed by multiple aggressive baddies at once....
