The sixth mainline entry in Ubisoft’s open-world first-person shooter series, Far Cry 6, is set to launch this fall. Officially revealed a year ago, Far Cry 6 takes the franchise back to its tropical island roots, this time around in Yara: a fictional country based on real-life Cuba. While Far Cry 6 seems to double down on everything that makes the franchise great - iconic villain, exotic open-world, and explosive combat - it also finds itself in a precarious situation....

The Far Cry series has been known for having some of the most iconic villains across video games, and it seems that Far Cry 6 will evolve on that. First, by introducing the sinister Anton Castillo, who will seek to keep his homeland pure by any means necessary. Well, this was certainly one of the busier weeks in Bungie history. While the studio continues to approach the launch of the Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2, it was announced that Sony had acquired the developer for $3.6 billion. While Bungie has promised that nothing would change in terms of exclusives, the deal really seems focused on helping Sony dive into the live-service genre while giving Bungie a boost to take its IPs like Destiny into new mediums such as TV and film....

Destiny 2’s 30th Anniversary adds a ton of new content to Bungie’s popular looter-shooter, including some weapons based on the company’s past games. A number of Halo-themed weapons have made their way into Destiny 2 through the 30th Anniversary celebration, including a pair of swords that each look like one half of an energy sword from Halo. Bungie normally releases a patch with every Destiny 2 season that not only sees the addition of new content, but updates for the game’s sandbox. For next season, Bungie appears to be bringing back the Halfdan-D auto rifle in addition to balancing two exotic weapons: the Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle and Lorentz Driver linear fusion rifle....

Destiny 2 is a game that constantly evolves. Bungie will start 2022 with a brand-new expansion, called The Witch Queen, revolving around the legendary Hive God Savathun, and as customary, the expansion should come with a new area. Recently, Bungie shared a screenshot of a Hunter wearing Witch Queen armor standing in a lush green area. Some players may have recognized that armor set from the teased sets for The Witch Queen that Bungie released a while back, and despite the fact that the Hunter set seems slightly different than its concept art, there’s a lot of information there....

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware released Elden Ring just days ago and fans continue to discover new bosses at their own pace, but like many other titles from the developer, others are struggling to keep up.
