Dying Light 2 was recently updated to version 1.3, which added the New Game Plus mode, a console Field of View slider, and a host of co-op and gameplay improvements. To celebrate the occasion, developer Techland has started a double XP weekend, though it’ll only be the first of a series of so-called booster events. Just yesterday we published an exclusive interview with Dying Light 2 Lead Designer Tymon Smektala. Here’s a couple of highlights....

A new Dying Light 2 mod that has been released online today improves the game’s atmosphere by tweaking the weather system. Dying Light 2 has generally been received with favorable praise, with many extolling the improved parkour mechanics, not to mention the overall visuals. As one of the most anticipated open world zombie games of this generation, it’s been a long wait for fans of the original. Since being released just over a month ago, there has been some urgency in the community as players encountered a game-breaking issue. Fortunately, Techland has been on the case and a new update seems to fix it, as well as bring with it some additional changes....

EA Play — recently known as EA Access on consoles, and Origin Access on PC — will show up August 31 on Steam, Electronic Arts have declared. That will make Steam the fourth foundation of accessibility for EA Play, after Origin, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. In any case, EA Play Pro — the excellent level for PC clients that was called Origin Access Premier before the rebranding — won’t be coming to Steam and will stay elite to Origin, EA’s own games customer for PC....

Today Electronic Arts delivered the results for their full 2022 fiscal year (which ran from April 1, 2021 to March 32, 2022) and it was a good 12 months for the company. The company brought in $7.5 billion in revenue during the year, a record for the company, and is expecting to rake in even more this next fiscal year.
