Bungie is known to have very strong views with regards to how much matchmaking it’s willing to support in Destiny 2. While it provides matchmaking for lower-end content, intended to be accessible to a majority of Destiny 2 players, higher-end content requires players to find a group for themselves. The decision itself is controversial, in general, but it grows all the more frustrating in certain situations. Take, for example, Destiny 2’s recently released Legendary difficulty for the Astral Alignment event....

Like most other looter shooters, Destiny 2 combines the fact that players get random drops with their ability to toy with builds and loadouts, customizing everything to a degree. In Destiny 2 there are many layers to this, with armor pieces dropping with random stat rolls both in terms of total value and how that number is distributed among the item’s six attributes. Another layer comes from weapons, which all have a perk pool that randomly rolls four different columns and a Masterwork stat that is increased up to rank 10....

Destiny 2 is arguably at its best, having enjoyed an excellent year story-wise with many new and improved gameplay mechanics. The 30th Anniversary Pack has been out for a little over a week now, and many feel it to be the pinnacle of what Destiny 2 can be, considering it comes with a well-designed Dungeon and a rewarding six-player activity. Dares of Eternity includes weapons to celebrate Bungie’s past, with some coming from the studio’s original Halo series, that lives on through the newly released Halo Infinite....

Destiny 2 as a game has grown a lot ever since it was first released back in 2017, and today the meta is quite healthy as opposed to the past. However, there’s one pet peeve among many players, which is about many Exotics not being very useful anymore. This concern was expressed on Reddit in a post that went viral, garnering lots of comments from fellow Guardians who agree that there should be some sort of overhaul of the less-used Exotics in the game....

Diablo II: Resurrected is slated for another update this week. Patch 2.4.3 will largely focus on online functionality, which will include more options for finding other players and modifying games, particularly on consoles, and backend improvements that should give you far more games to choose from. Aladdin is one of Disney’s most popular movies, and a symbol of 90s animation. To this day, its characters are guaranteed to appear in Disney crossovers, from having themed rides and meet and greets at the parks, to Agrabah being a recurring world in Kingdom Hearts, to the characters being part of the Disney Infinity roster. When the movie was first released, a video game adaptation was inevitable. Predictably for a licensed game, it was made for both the Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis....

Today, NVIDIA released the new GeForce Game Ready driver (526.98) for three games that are about to get DLSS 3 support, such as WRC Generations, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. We were able to briefly discuss the DLSS 3 implementation of the latter game, due to release on November 30th for PC (available on Game Pass from day one), with Fatshark Chief Technical Officer Rikard Blomberg. He also confirmed that the Swedish studio currently doesn’t have any plans to use the ray tracing optimization features added by NVIDIA on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs....

Dungeons & Dragons has inspired countless video games, but it’s been a while since the franchise itself got a real AAA title. The 5th edition of Wizards of the Coasts’ beloved tabletop RPG Dungeons and Dragons is nearly eight years old now, and it’s still receiving expansions, which isn’t surprising. Dungeons and Dragons has soared in popularity in the last few years, thanks to streamers popularizing the game and the overall accessibility of DnD 5e’s streamlined rules. At the same time, Dungeons and Dragons is undergoing some major change. In recent years, Wizards of the Coast has started updating DnD 5e by introducing new optional class features, as well as reworking playable races to remove harmful, stereotypical concepts about race, ultimately making each race more flexible mechanically in the process....

Like most big open-world games, Dying Light 2 Stay Human had its share of hiccups at launch, but overall the game is a major success, selling over 5 million copies to date. Developer Techland has been steadily ironing out issues since launch (the game’s most recent update just dropped yesterday) and has boldly promised at least a full five years of post-launch support. Things have gotten rough for Twitch recently due to the controversy surrounding hate raids and the huge leak of its database and code. Twitch has, of course, taken action about both of these, helped out in part by Streamlabs which introduced a “Safe Mode” to help with hate raids. Streamlabs, for those not in the know, is working with Twitch to help players stream directly from Xbox to Twitch. Before, players had to use a capture card in order to bring game streams to PC and then to Twitch, while Streamlabs lets them stream from console much easier....

Developers did a great job in adding a wide array of weapon types, abilities, Sorceries, and Talismans. Those that are looking to create a build centered around Poison or Scarlet Rot have a lot of great weapon and ability choices to help them craft the perfect setup....

Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s masterpiece, and overhauls many of the gameplay elements from the Dark Souls franchise to create new and amazing combat systems. Along with the basic mechanics also comes the classically difficult FromSoftware boss fights. The first boss that players encounter in Elden Ring, called Margit the Fell Omen, is an extreme challenge for players that foreshadows the harder battles later in the title.
