In a latest interview with Bombay Times, Farhan’s father and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar confirmed that the wedding ceremony is taking place on February 21. He told Bombay Times, “Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain that is being taken care of by the wedding planners.” He also told, “Taking the situation into consideration it is apparent that we can’t host something on a massive scale. So, we are solely calling a few people. It will be a very simple affair. Khair abhi tak toh invitations bhi nahi bheje gaye hain.”
Javed Akhtar stated that the couple will do a registered marriage on February 21, accompanied through an intimate ceremony which will have family and close pals at Akhtar Sr’s Khandala home.
The Akhtars are excited to welcome Dandekar into the family. “She is a very nice girl. All of us like her very much. The most essential aspect is that Farhan and she get along very well, which is great.” Javed Akhtar concluded.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been in a relationship for over three years now, and have never stayed away from showing their love for each other. This will be Farhan Akhtar’s second marriage. He was earlier married to hair stylist and BBLUNT co-host, Adhuna Bhabani for 16 years, which ended in 2017. He had two daughters from his previous marriage – Shakya and Akira Akhtar.
