Far Cry 6’s Vaas DLC is releasing very soon, on November 16, and fans will diving into the criminally insane mind of Vaas. Little is officially known, as only the one Far Cry 6 Season Pass trailer hints at the content, but there are two major sources of information right now. First, there are spoilers out in the wild that showcase an entire playthrough of it and the secret ending for Vaas. Those won’t be mentioned here, but for those who want to go in new, tread carefully.
Secondly, and less spoiler-y, Far Cry 6’s trophy list for the Vaas DLC has appeared online. It adds ten new achievements to the base game, basically confirms that the DLC is a roguelite-style expansion, and reveals the “location” of the game to officially be Vaas’ mind. But these trophies paint a very pretty experience and cap it off with the best Trophy name in the franchise.

Far Cry 6’s Trophy List Makes The Best Out of Vaas
Looking at these trophies, some of them seem pretty straightforward and simple, like the Dear Diary, So Much for Poetics, and Self-Help trophies. But some of them take it to the next level: “No, I won” seems to suggest, with what is seen so far, that Vaas may be trying to convince himself that he beat Far Cry 3 protagonist Jason Brody. It would make sense with what little has been shown, whereas the trophy titled “Freudian Field Day” references Freud’s methods of psychoanalysis. It probably warrants a little inspection as to why Vaas has so many guns in his brain, but of course, Vaas would.
Puff, Puff, Vaas is hilarious and may be an allusion to the mission in Far Cry 3 that involved burning marijuana fields to dubstep music, something that the franchise hasn’t recreated to perfection since. The trophy doesn’t seem really related to that, but it’s a nice touch. Not to mention, the collective trophies paint it as a roguelite that involves doing the same thing over and over again—ergo, the definition of insanity. But the final trophy is the big one.
For the mission tied to Vaas’ iconic “definition of insanity” trophy in Far Cry 3, that trophy is titled “Have I told you” and this one, in direct relation to it, is the “definition of insanity.” Put together and fans get the line, “Have I told you [the] definition of insanity?” Not only is this an awesome connection to Far Cry 3 and his most famous dialogue if not verbatim, but it shows that Far Cry 6 is focused on getting Vaas just right. Vaas, transitioning from antagonist to protagonist of sorts (if still a villain), may be a bit concerning, but while a lot remains to be seen, it does seem to be on the right track.
Far Cry 6’s Vaas: Insanity DLC releases on November 16 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
