iOS 15 is the latest version of Apple’s operating system for smartphones. Announced in June of 2021, it was released in September this year alongside the iPhone 13.
The latest from Apple brings several new features and improvements to performance. Having said that, some new bugs and issues have also popped up in the last few days, some of which are listed in our dedicated iOS 15 bug tracker.
Having said that, Facebook Messenger is one of the most popular apps on the App Store. The app lets users make voice calls, video calls and communicate via text.
And now, iOS 15 users are reporting a new issue with many not getting Facebook Messenger notifications. People say they have to manually open the app if they want to see Messenger notifications.
And it looks like the issue isn’t limited to Facebook Messenger. Some also reported that they are not getting notifications for apps such as WhatsApp, Waze, and Instagram amongst others.
Users say they have tried reinstalling the app, disabling and re-enabling notifications but nothing seems to be working right now.
Apart from this, many report that they are unable to see message previews even after unlocking the phone. This is really frustrating for many who do not want to open the app.
You can see in the image below how it is looking for some.
With Apple yet to acknowledge both issues, it looks users will have to wait some more time before the no notification iOS 15 Facebook Messenger bug is resolved.
When the developers fix the aforementioned issues, we will update the article to reflect the same.
