New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 15, 2022) follows:

Facebook is currently the most used social network worldwide. The accelerated growth that it had since its launch allowed the creation of an entire technological empire currently known as Meta.

Facebook users can access their accounts from virtually any device that offers a screen and internet access. You can do it either from a web browser or from dedicated apps for mobile devices.

However, currently many Facebook users are facing a curious issue where they are unable to log out from their accounts.

Facebook glitch not letting users log out from their accounts

According to multiple reports, a glitch is preventing many Facebook users from logging out of their accounts. Any attempt sends them to the homepage of the social platform.

Facebook users are not only unable to log out of their accounts, but also to deactivate them.

No official acknowledgment yet, potential workaround

There is no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Facebook team yet. However, there is a workaround which is to access Facebook from a PC and log out of all devices.

If you don’t have access to a PC at the moment and urgently need to log out of your Facebook account, you can try to force the desktop version of the website through the option offered by many mobile web browsers, then log out.

We will update this story as events unfold.
