New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 24, 2022) follows:

Facebook is currently the most used social network in the world. Millions of people across the globe consult the platform for entertainment, communication with others or even for work reasons.

Through the years, Facebook has gained new features and possibilities. For example, the service currently offers a streaming section focused on games, and even a marketplace where you can sell things.

Like other social networks, Facebook offers a personal feed to each user. The feed shows posts made by your friends or pages you follow.

However, currently many Facebook users are facing an issue where their personal feed is full of random posts or comments coming from celebrity pages.

Facebook feed showing random posts or comments on celebrity pages

According to multiple reports, the Facebook feed is showing random posts or comments (spam) coming from celebrity pages instead of posts from friends and followed pages.

The issue is causing frustration for many users whose feed is getting cluttered with content totally irrelevant to them.

The problem is also reflected on platforms such as DownDetector where the graph shows that reports are indeed on the rise.

There is still no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Facebook team. But we will be monitoring the situation to update this story as events unfold.
