The drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo has evolved into one of the most popular ones of 2022.

The heartwarming story of the drama attracted viewers, and it developed into a K-drama that has brought us something precious that is hard to let go of. It is somewhat analogous even though it is extremely different from the present trends. When the show premiered during the same month as other legal dramas that were breaking viewership records, there was certain to be a great deal of competition as it was a legal drama. On the other side, Extraordinary Attorney Woo ignored the gloomy legal dramas and focused on giving us a relaxing experience through its plot.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo will broadcast its final two episodes next week, which has left fans a little saddened. However, to everyone’s astonishment, the adventure does not appear to be over yet.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo has been extended for season 2, and production will shortly begin, according to Lee Sang-Baek, CEO of ASTORY, on August 17. Despite beginning so soon, he also said the drama won’t premiere until 2024.

“Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The goal is to air Season 2 in 2024. It is not easy to coordinate the schedules of the cast and production team, so we will have to go through a lot of discussions,” he said, as per reports.

Lee also stated that while keeping the main cast is their intention, given the abrupt announcement of Season 2 and the projected premiere date, adjustments are unavoidable.

“As long as there are no unexpected changes, the goal is to maintain more than 90 percent of the same members as now. For this reason, it will take a considerable amount of time to coordinate, but the plan to produce Season 2 has not changed.”

It initially attracted little attention because it was aired on the less prominent channel ENA and covered the odd topic of the autism spectrum. However, by highlighting a variety of issues in Korean society, the show eventually received much-deserved attention. The show’s key emphasis is on the autistic lawyer Woo, but it also discusses topics including real women’s experiences, small-business owners, sexual minorities, and North Korean defectors.

Nielsen Korea reports that the ratings increased from 0.9% in June 29 to 11% at the seventh episode. The eighth episode, which featured an appearance by actor Koo Kyo Hwan, broke the previous record for maximum viewership by 15.8%.

Fans not only adore watching Park Eun-bin in the lead role, but they are also praising the other cast members, including Kang Tae-oh, who plays the supporting love interest, and Ha Yoon-Kyung, who plays her buddy and her supportive supervisor Joo Hyun-young.

According to FlixPatrol, the drama made it into the Top 10 of a daily global Netflix Tv show ranking. Since its release, it has at least once topped the daily chart in eight different countries, including Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The OTT platform has stated that the drama would be published in Europe and South America with captions in 31 additional languages due to the serial’s global success.

As per reports, Extraordinary Attorney Woo has received remake bids as a consequence of its popularity, one of which came from the United States.

Attorney Woo appears to have a very promising future.
