Escape From Tarkov is an online FPS game with touches of RPG and MMO that seeks to offer an immersive experience and a complex narrative development to stand out from the rest.

But, in the last few weeks, its players have been facing a set of bugs or glitches that seriously affect the experience and do not allow them to enjoy it.

According to multiple reports, Escape From Tarkov suffers from some audio lag or stutter, directional audio not working properly and a weapon recoil that demands a fix.

Escape From Tarkov recoil fix demanded, reportedly too high

One of the issues reported by Escape From Tarkov players is related to the recoil of their weapons. Apparently the current recoil settings of some weapons makes them ‘unusable’ (1, 2, 3, 4).

Also, the problem doesn’t mitigate even by equipping the weapons with attachments that improve their characteristics. So, aiming and shooting is unstable on affected weapons.

However, a fix for this issue is reportedly in the works. One user notes that the developers confirmed this through their podcasts. But, the bad news is that the adjustment could take months.

Recoil definitely needed some kind of change, nobody should be completely stable full autoing a 850RPM HK416, but the changes, notably camera recoil, have made some weapons basically unusable.

Using the VSS as an example, it was only strong at close range with it’s very strong ammo and decent recoil stats. Now, even built out with good attachments, is completely worthless to use full auto. Source

Scavs bullets sound or directional audio not working properly

Another of the problems reported by Escape From Tarkov players affects the sound of the game. Apparently the scavs bullet sound is not being heard correctly due to directional audio issues (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

In addition to the above, for some players the in-game audio suffers from lag or stutter, while for others some key elements (such as shots) have no sound at all (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

This causes deaths during matches, which seriously affects gameplay (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

At the moment, there is no official acknowledgment of the reported audio problems. So, it only remains to wait for the developers to offer updates on the matter.

Finally, if new related developments arise, we will update this article with the pertinent information.
