Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, Sims 4 is a social simulation game that was released in September of 2014.
Building on its predecessor, the game improves many areas such as character customization, housebuilding tools, and a new emotion and personality system.
Owing to the huge popularity of the game, the developers have released eleven expansion packs that help the gameplay feel fresh. They have also added new things like swimming pools and terrain tools.
That said, EA recently released the v1.88 Pronouns update that brings in new content.
But not everything seems to be going according to plan. Sims 4 players are now reporting that the game is either freezing or lagging ever since the Pronouns update (1,2,3,4,5).
Thankfully, an EA Community Manager commented on the issue and said the Sims 4 development team is aware of the freezing and lagging issue after the Pronouns update and that it is currently under investigation.
However, there is no timeframe of when it will be fixed.
