Johnny Depp isn’t waiting for the court to determine his fate at home; instead, he’s enjoying out in England, and one of the tunes has a title that is key to the case.
On Sunday, Johnny shared the stage with Jeff Beck in Sheffield, England. Beck is on tour in the United Kingdom, and when Johnny came out of nowhere, the crowd erupted in applause.
“Isolation,” a 2020 collaboration between Depp and Beck, will feature Depp. But here’s the irony: they sang a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” If you put a question mark in front of the title, you’ll know exactly what the jury is debating.
They also performed “Little Wing” by Hendrix.
There’s a rumor that Johnny may perform with Beck at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday and Tuesday nights, although a Tuesday concert seems unlikely. The jury is debating that day and could make a judgement, and given the drama and Johnny’s dedication to the case, it’s almost inevitable he’ll want to be in position in case a conclusion is drawn.
Depp’s hair was dyed for the role, and it’s lot lighter than it was in court.
As he testified, he arrived to Hollywood expecting to pursue his dream of being a musician. He and Alice Cooper founded the Hollywood Vampires in 2015, and they frequently performed at the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip. The jury will begin proceedings again on Tuesday.
