Dragon Ball is a series full to the brim with some of the greatest fights in shonen history. Watching Goku grow from extremely humble beginnings to become one of the most powerful fighters in the multiverse is a journey that has been full to the brim with some truly memorable and iconic moments that have endured to this day.

Each fighter in Dragon Ball is notorious for featuring intense moves where they charge at their opponent in what is generally called a Rush Attack. These attacks are rife with flair and power, making for some truly spectacular offensive barrages indeed. Keeping this in mind, here are ten of the most powerful Rush Attacks in the history of Dragon Ball.

10 Dragon Fist

Easily one of the coolest attacks in Dragon Ball history, Goku ends up revealing the Dragon Fist technique in Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon, which ends up being nothing short of a massive visual spectacle.

After storing up power in his fist, Goku ends up unleashing this force in such a ruthless manner that his ki explodes into a golden dragon that ends up decimating any enemy in its path.

9 Ultimate Impact

Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is easily the most powerful being in Dragon Ball GT, so it only goes without saying that one of his Rush Attacks was bound to make the list as well.

The best thing about this move is that, while launching the enemy in the air and barraging him with punches, Gogeta moves so fast that the human eye is unable to even see him moving his fists at all. It’s a devastating move that showed just how powerful Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta really was.

8 Super God Shock Flash

It goes without saying that all the moves now will be from Dragon Ball Super, a show that brought Goku and Vegeta’s power level to unprecedented heights.

The first move comes in the form of a rather cool shockwave technique that Goku unleashed on Golden Frieza in his Super Saiyan Blue form. With two of his fingers pointing outwards, Goku pointed his appendage at Frieza’s chest… before powerfully forming it into a resounding fist that sent a shockwave through his Golden opponent’s gut.

7 Final Strike

A powerful punch that can easily incapacitate most foes if it lands right, Final Strike is a move that has been seen numerous times in the series. The first notable instance of this move comes when Goku absorbs the energy of the Spirit Bomb in his Super Saiyan state before unleashing it in a massive blow that completely destroyed Super Android 13.

However, Final Strike has become Vegeta’s move following the advent of Dragon Ball Super, with this name being given to a powerful kick that Vegeta delivers to the midsection of an enemy. The other variant of this is the Final Blow, which uses a punch instead.

6 Meteor Crash

The Meteor Crash is an iconic Rush Attack that has appeared numerous times over the course of the Dragon Ball series.

A move patented by Goku, this attack sees the Saiyan send the enemy airborne through two choice blows, before teleporting behind them and painfully driving his elbow into their midsection. Finally, after a brief barrage of punches and kicks, Goku sends his fighter crashing back into the ground with a well-placed axe handle.

5 Kaio-ken Attack

If Dragon Ball Super had never existed, then the Kaio-ken Attack would’ve been nothing more than a relic of the past that had become obsolete after the Super Saiyan transformation came into the picture.

However, given the manner in which Goku fused his Kaio-ken technique with the Super Saiyan Blue form, it goes without saying that the power of this classic Kaio-ken Attack has multiplied tremendously as well.

4 Energy Punch

The Energy Punch is another classic attach that has featured multiple times over the Dragon Ball series, basically serving as a punch that has been powered up by ki so potent that it manifests around the attacker’s hand.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes had a rather interesting — and extremely powerful — take on this punch, with Goku being able to harness the power of Ultra Instinct Sign to gather up this powerful ki into his hands, delivering a powerful punch that separated Vegeta from an antagonist that had taken over his body and mind.

3 Savage Strike

Vegito is easily one of the most powerful fusions in the series, which makes it pretty evident that a Rush Attack that he used while fighting Fused Zamasu was bound to make it to this list.

Savage Strike is an attack where Vegito teleports above his opponent and clads his first in blue ki, before unleashing an extremely powerful blow that sending enemies crashing to the ground. In a way, it’s an Energy Punch as well… albeit with a somewhat elaborate set up beforehand.

2 Stardust Breaker

However, while Savage Strike might be a powerful attack in its own right, one can’t deny that Gogeta’s Stardust Breaker seems even more damaging — and certainly flashier — in comparison.

This Rush Attack employs the use of an energy sphere that can be absolutely devastating. The movies added an extra plot-convenient side-effect of this attack purifying a being from all evil — something that is surely not being carried over to the canon appearance of Gogeta and this attack.

1 Beerus’ Counterattack

It was a given that a Rush Attack by a Destroyer God would eclipse every other move on this list. In fact, Beerus’ Counterattack might seem like the most simple blow out of all the moves on this list… but the damage done by this attack is truly immense.

After dodging a blow from an assailant, Beerus instantly teleports behind his adversary and chops at their neck with a near-instant blow that almost always readers his opponent unconscious.

The fact that Beerus has probably never put all of his power into this blow — something that would definitely kill the target — is what makes this the strongest Rush Attack in the Dragon Ball series.
