Disney Dreamlight Valley is a fun and immersive adventure game set in the universe of Disney and Pixar characters like Ariel, Wall-E, Elsa and so on.
However, its constant issues related to game stability and progression in various quests (‘A Friendly Exchange’ or ‘With Great Power’) have negatively impacted the experience of its playerbase.
Disney Dreamlight Valley crashing on PS4
Lately, many players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) have been reporting an issue where Disney Dreamlight Valley is crashing while playing on PS4.
The game crashes occur while doing almost anything like entering a house, opening the main menu and even while picking up a memory. It repeatedly throws a combination of two (CE-38700-8 and CE-34878-0) error codes.
This is incredibly frustrating for players as they can’t even sustain in the game for more than 10-15 minutes because it keeps kicking them out.
It seems that the issue started troubling players ever since the recent September 15 update.

Fortunately, the developers were quick to address the Disney Dreamlight Valley crashing issue and said that the team is working on a fix.
Since there is no workaround to fix the issue temporarily, affected players will have to wait till the team comes up with a definitive fix.
We hope that the issue where Disney Dreamlight Valley is crashing on PS4 gets resolved soon.

Update 1 (Sept. 28, 2022)
01:04 pm (IST): The upcoming patch for Disney Dreamlight Valley is said to bring optimizations on PS4. So we can expect this update to fix the crashing issue on PS4.
Update 2 (Oct. 12, 2022)
04:50 pm (IST): Fresh reports (1,2) suggest that PS4 users are still experiencing crashing issues while playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. The developers are aware and working to resolve the issue completely.
Update 3 (Oct. 19, 2022)
04:28 pm (IST): Disney Dreamlight Valley support has confirmed that they are working to resolve the crashing issues with the game on PlayStation and improvements for the same are expected to arrive with the next update.
Update 4 (Oct. 21, 2022)
05:53 pm (IST): Fresh reports suggest that players on Xbox (1, 2, 3, 4) and Nintendo Switch (1, 2) are also reporting crashing issues with Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Update 5 (Nov. 21, 2022)
11:01 am (IST): Disney Dreamlight Valley support has confirmed that they are currently investigating crashing issues on Switch consoles.
