New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 10, 2021) follows:

There are multiple reports doing rounds on social media about a possible outage regarding the Disney+ app.

According to those affected, the Disney+ app is throwing a strange error that claims the service is “unavailable at your location” despite having worked there perfectly a while earlier.

Below are some of the reports we picked up on Twitter and Reddit over the past few hours.

At the time of writing, a quick look on Twitter tells a not-so-good story, where the official Disney+ help account isn’t providing much help to those affected by the outage.

The Downdetector also suggests there has been a surge in reports of issues on Disney+ over the past few hours. But until Disney+ acknowledges, it remains unclear if and when the matter will be fixed.

There are reports from mobile users of the app as well, suggesting the issue is likely widespread. Below is a screenshot of the Disney+ ‘Service unavailable at your location’ error message shared by one of those affected.

It is worth noting that we’ve come across reports from various regions that include the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, Italy, and France. This implies the issue could be affecting people in more than just European regions.

We will be keeping an eye on the developments and update this story once Disney+ makes an official comment on the matter. Stay tuned.

Update 1 (September 11)
