Spotify is one of the most used music streaming services around the world. Its popularity grew thanks to offering millions of songs and albums from many artists in one place.
Spotify is available both through a web client and through dedicated apps (for mobile devices, consoles and Smart TVs).
The service even supports linking with compatible products (such as smart speakers) and external apps (such as Discord), expanding the possibilities of use.
Syncing between Discord and Spotify lets your contacts know what you’re currently listening to on Spotify, and even start listening together.
However, currently the Discord Spotify status is not working or displaying for many.

Many Discord users are unable to access their Spotify status as the data is not displaying on their profiles.
The issue started off affecting the PC version, but later spread to the Discord mobile app as well.
i just booted up my computer and noticed spotify wasnt under my profile as the status. i tried restarting discord and spotify, logging in and etc, connecting and reconnecting, etc, but whenever i do that it works for the first song then immediately stops working after the next song plays.

Also, no workaround or troubleshooting seems to have helped affected users, so you should save your time as this seems to be a server-side issue.
Hey everyone. my issue is that my Discord Spotify activity on my laptop isn’t showing up anymore, but has been showing up on my phone mostly just fine [now it’s not showing up].
There is still no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Discord or Spotify team. We will update this story as events unfold.
Update 1 (August 22)
10:09 am (IST): Discord has acknowledged the issue where Spotify statuses are broken and they are currently investigating it. However, there’s no ETA for the fix.
Update 2 (August 23)
12:57 pm (IST): According to some of those affected (1, 2), the issue with Spotify status not working has now been resolved.
