One of the biggest game releases of September is the forthcoming Vicarious Visions remake of Diablo 2. Diablo 2: Resurrected will offer an authentic recreation of the classic APRG released in 2000. It’ll grant an opportunity for older players to revisit one of their favorite games. And Diablo 2: Resurrected will also allow new players to experience an important title in gaming updated for modern platforms. With that in mind, Blizzard has dropped two new trailers introducing (or reintroducing) two key Diablo 2 classes.

Diablo 2: Resurrected’s second trailer is for the Paladin class. While visually similar to the original Diablo’s warrior, with his plate armor, sword, and shield, the Paladin class is especially unique. As the trailer shows, the Paladin juggles melee combat skills with magical auras that empower both him and his allies. These abilities allow the Paladin to customize his combat experience either for defense, support, aggression, or methodical damage, depending on playstyle and party composition.

These two trailers are just the latest in a line of videos introducing all of Diablo 2: Resurrected’s different classes. Both the Sorceress and the Barbarian have both had videos shared already, and the Necromancer, Assassin, and Druid will follow down the line. It’s a great, visual way to help excited Diablo 2: Resurrected players decide on a class without delving too deep into their skill trees or playstyle.

Picking a class is perhaps the most important part of playing Diablo 2: Resurrected. It’ll define the experience that players have in the game, as well as how they interact with other players along the way. Of course, if a player doesn’t like their class, they can easily switch to another. Or, like may Diablo 2 faithful did decades ago, it’s easy to play every class because they’re all quite fun in their own way.

Diablo 2: Resurrected releases September 23 on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
