Destiny 2 is an MMO FPS developed by Bungie (the original creators of the Halo franchise). The game is available in a free-to-play for Windows OS and consoles (current and previous generation).

Destiny 2 challenges players to accomplish goals across a vast world while receiving rewards as items, weapons, skins, characters, and more.

Bungie offers the player a ‘Year in Review’ feature, which is basically an email that arrives annually. As its name indicates, it includes accumulated statistics of the player throughout the year

However, many players are facing issues with the system. Apparently, they are not receiving the Year in Review email (nor other Bungie email communications).

Destiny 2 Year in Review email not received by many

Many Destiny 2 players report not receiving the Year in Review email with their yearly stats. The issue occurs even though they have their settings and email preferences up to date (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

In some cases, if the player receives the email, it includes links that do not work properly. The attached links reportedly lead to a DLC page instead of player stats.

Does anyone know how to access the Wrap-up that has been sent to players’ email? I haven’t received it, updated my email preferences and checked my spam folders. Im just hoping theres some other way to access it, maybe through the Companion App? Source

Cool idea, but you can’t share it with anyone. Anyone else having the same issue? If you try the twitter or facebook share links, if you follow the link it just redirects you to the witch queen DLC. Source

Bungie email is always broken according to players

This is not the first time similar issues have arisen. Some players report that it is common for Bungie’s email system to be broken or not working properly (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

Woke up from a nap to see that 98 of my clanmates got emails going over their most used weapons, played activities and classes, while me and a friend of mine have not gotten a single email from Bungie for over 2 years (outside of the Bungie Store).

My email is verified, I have made sure to check the boxes over 10 times and now all I can do is sit in the back while everyone rejoices at how they have wasted their lives in this game while I can’t. Source

Bungie team is aware

The Bungie team is already aware of the issue with their email communications. The company is currently investigating about it, with no information yet on an ETA for a fix.

We will keep our eyes open for further developments on the matter to update this story.

Update 1 (February 19)

11:41 am (IST): Bungie has provided a potential workaround to resolve the email communication issue. Moreover, support said that players can try this solution while they investigate the issue.
