Destiny 2 is one of the most popular games on Steam. Released in 2017, the free-to-play title is developed and published by the now Sony-owned gaming studio Bungie.
The game is currently in its fifth year but is still receiving content updates with the latest expansion, ‘The Witch Queen’ pre-ordered by more than one million players.
But as is the case with every online multiplayer game, players do encounter issues like the bugged Reclaiming Europa Sabotaging Salvation mission or low armor stat rolls from Xur.
Having said that, Bungie recently released hotfix 4.0.0.3 for Destiny 2, which makes it possible for players to change their Bungie name.
However, according to reports (1,2,3,4,5) from Destiny 2 players, many are getting ‘no name changes available’ error when trying to change their name.
Players say they tried restarting the game and reconnecting to the internet but nothing seems to help right now. Many said they have waited for a long time and wondering when they will be able to change their name.
Fortunately, Bungie Help has acknowledged the issue and said they are currently investigating the problem where Destiny 2 players are unable to change their Bungie name.
While they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed, we did come across a user-shared workaround that might help with the ‘no name changes available’ error.
As always, we will be keeping an eye out for more information and update this article when the problem is resolved so make sure you stay tuned.
