Developed and published by Bungie, Destiny 2 is an online multiplayer game that was launched back in 2017. Two years later, after Bungie acquired the publishing rights, it went free-to-play under the New Light title.
Destiny 2 picks up RPG elements and allows players to indulge in both PvP and PvE. As expected, the developers often bring new content to the game to keep it fresh.
And while these updates are welcomed by many, Destiny 2 players are now expressing their concern over the developer’s recent decision to increase the respawn time in PvP game mode. Bungie said they are doing it to slow down the pace of the game.
Although it is a difference of just 2 seconds, gamers say that they are now getting spawn picked with the enemy getting more time to get into a vantage point from where they can simply snipe them.
Many say that the small change has made the game unenjoyable since the enemy simply camps near the spawn point in the majority of games.
It looks like many Destiny 2 players want Bungie to revert the respawn time to how it was before the update, with some saying it should be decreased. But with the developers yet to comment on the matter, it is still unclear if they will listen to the player base or stick with the changes.
As always, we’ll keep track of this one and update this space when Bungie has something to say so stay tuned.
