Developed and published by the now Sony-owned gaming studio Bungie, Destiny 2 is a popular online multiplayer game on Steam.
Featuring both PvE and PvP game modes, the game combines shooting with some RPG elements. Announced in 2017, the developers have released four expansion packs to date.
Praised by both players and critics alike, many have encountered issues such as the game crashing or getting stuck on loading when entering Tower to get items and gear from Banshee-44 and some missing licenses.
Adding to the trouble, Destiny 2 players are now reporting that the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon final boss is bugged and not moving or stuck. This is preventing them from completing the quest (1,2,3).
It looks like the issue surfaced after the recent update. Some tried restarting the quest, verifying game files through Steam, and restarting the game but to no avail.
Here are some reports from Destiny 2 players complaining about the final boss in Grasp of Avarice Dungeon being broken.
Thankfully, Bungie Help commented on the matter and said that Destiny 2 developers are aware of the issue where players are unable to complete the final boss encounter of the Grasp of the Avarice Dungeon.
However, there is no timeframe on when it will be fixed.

Update 1 (May 27)
11:10 am (IST): While Bungie support said that they have made some changes to fix blocking issues in several activities, users are still reporting (1, 2) the issue where the ‘Grasp of Avarice Dungeon’ final boss gets stuck.
Update 2 (May 30)
09:34 am (IST): Destiny 2 support team has not yet added this issue to its official known issues tracker. Also, there’s no ETA from the team as to when it will be fixed.
Update 3 (May 31)
10:34 am (IST): Bungie support has informed players that Destiny 2 will receive Hotfix 4.1.0.1 on May 31 at 5 am PDT.
It will likely include some bug fixes, however, it is not known if it will resolve the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon final boss issue.
Update 4 (June 1)
09:40 am (IST): The latest Hotfix 4.1.0.1 has been released for Destiny 2 players and it brings a fix for Grasp of Avarice Dungeon final boss issue.

04:08 pm (IST): Even though the latest hotfix included a fix for Grasp of Avarice Dungeon final boss issue, some players say (1, 2) that it’s still not fixed.
Update 6 (June 3)
06:08 pm (IST): While some players previously reported that this issue is not fixed even after the hotfix, we now have come across some reports stating that it is resolved.
